Our Rainbow Bridge

The lifespan of a dog is like the twinkle of a star in the universe

If I could have a lifetime wish, a dream that could come true, I'd pray to God with all my heart, for yesterday, and you.

Our Pride and Joy

Jan 31, 1995 - Sept 20, 2004

Our hearts still ache in sadness, our secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, only we can ever know.

If tears could build a stairway, and heartache build a lane, we'd walk right up to heaven, andbring you home again.

A Special Friend, A Heart of Gold

Jan 4, 1992 - May 2, 2004

A thousand words won't bring you back, we know because we've tried.  Neither will a thousand tears, we know because we've cried.

Rest In Peace, Sweet Whisper

Jan 1995 - 2007

She is gone, but always near, in everything we see and hear. Her spirit's free, my special friend, I'll miss you till the very end.

A Loyal Friend, a Gentle Soul

Oct 1981 - Dec 1996

Whenever you need to find me, we're never
far apart, just look beyond the rainbow,
and listen with your heart.

He was our first, what more can we say...

Jun 7, 1978 - Nov 20, 1992

Although we're not together in the way we used to be, we're still connected by memories, that no one else can see.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place, that only you can fill.

The influence of a canine companion on a human soul is forever.

The Rainbow Bridge Poem...

Just this side of heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

It is a special place reserved for our beloved pets when they leave this earth, where they are kept safe in the arms of God, waiting.  It is a land of sunshine, and green meadows; of warm spring days, and summer fun; of rolling hills, and gentle creeks from which they drink; where the sky is a perfect blue, and flowers grow in the morning dew.

Our beautiful pets are restored to youthful health at the Rainbow Bridge, and are happy and vigorous and as they run and play throughout the day.  But there is only one thing missing.  You...!  Their human friend.  The one who loved them more than words could ever express.  The one left behind they are longing to see.

But then one day your special pet suddenly stops their play and looks into the distance.  The eyes are bright; the nose twitches in the air; the tail wags with heart-pounding joy.  And suddenly they break away from the others, flying over the green grass as their legs carry them faster and faster toward toward the bridge you are now approaching.

YOU have been seen.  And when you and your pet finally meet again, happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands once again caress the beloved head, the soft fur, and you look once more in the trusting eyes of your friend, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross over the Rainbow Bridge together...

Do not stand by my grave and weep

I am not there I do not sleep

I am all around you, my dearest friend,
In your heart and soul till the very end

I am each diamond you see in the snow
The stars in the night with their brilliant glow

I am the sun that shines on your face
The spring time breeze that you embrace

The flowers that bloom both pretty and fair
The leaves of the trees as they dance through the air

I am the birds that soar high up above
The rainbow you see that is full of my love

Don't despair my passing I am not far away
Forever here, within your heart, my memories will stay

We have a special secret that only you and I shall share
For who but I can can ever know, how much you really care

And who but I can feel your hand before you go to bed As you touch the living  warmth of me and caress my silken head

And only you can walk  woods and see ahead of you, My small form racing with the wind so young and free and new

And only you can see me play in every field you pass, and when you call, no one but you, can see the bending grass.

Do not stand at my grave and cry...

My spirit is with you

I did not die
